There may be times when you want to schedule a blog post to publish sometime in the future – you could be going on holiday for example, or away on a business trip for a few days. Whatever the scenario, WordPress allows you to schedule a post to self publish at whatever date and time you specify.
How to schedule a WordPress post to publish in the future
Create your post in the usual way, but instead of hitting the publish button, look just above it for “Publish immediately Edit” and click on the edit link. The calendar and time options will open up – just change the date and time to the date and time you want to publish the post and hit OK. The command on the blue button should change from Publish to Schedule, hit the Schedule button and you are done.


After the date has been changed to sometime in the future, click OK.
